Dani's Story

Miss Dani is looking for her furever home! This sweet girl loves attention and is always looking for more love. She's a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs. Dani likes to try and climb into your lap, even though she's a bit too big to be a lap dog. She doesn't seem to like treats very much, but she does go crazy for peanut butter. She also likes to chase (not bring back) balls and toys.

Vinton County Dog Shelter's Adoption Policy

Please contact us directly by phone 740-596-9285. We would love to set up an appointment for potential pet parents to meet the dogs! Our $35 adoption fee includes: current year dog license, DHLPP vaccines, microchip, flea/tick treatment, wormer, leash and collar. You will also receive an $100 fee waiver for the dog to get spay/neutered at the local veterinarian office.

The Vinton County Dog Shelter strives to provide stray dogs in our county with shelter during the times when they are in need, as well as to adopt out those dogs to the best homes possible.
