Dandelion 's Story

Meet ✨ Dandelion ✨ — a sweet little survivor ready to bloom in a loving home.

Dandelion is an estimated 2-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing around 15–20 pounds. She came to us from an outdoor pound, and while we don’t know everything she’s been through, it’s clear life hasn’t always been kind to her. Even so, this girl has such a gentle heart and wants so badly to trust and love.

Dandelion is incredibly sweet with people and absolutely loves curling up in your lap for comfort and cuddles. She seems happiest when she’s close to her person, soaking up affection and finally feeling safe.

She can be a little nervous when meeting other dogs at first, which is understandable after her rough start, but once she realizes they mean no harm, she settles in just fine. With patience, kindness, and reassurance, Dandelion continues to come out of her shell more every day.

She appears to be potty trained and has been fully vetted — vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and dewormed — so she’s ready to start her new life with her forever family.

Dandelion deserves a home that will show her what love, safety, and trust truly feel like. In return, she’ll give you the sweetest companionship and a loyal little shadow who just wants to be loved. 💛

Cause For Paws's Adoption Policy
In order to encourage folks to rescue homeless Orphans, we try to make the rescue experience as non-invasive and pleasant as possible. First, an application is completed prior to meeting any of our orphans. Since we do not have a shelter, it’s important to be able to pre-qualify folks that will be making appointments with fosters, to meet any of our orphans. We do a vet check, to verify all current or previous dogs are up to date on vaccines, heartworm testing, heartworm prevention, and are either spayed or neutered. We may also contact references listed on the application when there is no previous vet information, or where more information is needed. We’ll then contact you to arrange a home visit, which is merely an opportunity to ask and answer any questions regarding our process. Since most of our orphans have already been in a situation that was not right for them, we want to do whatever it takes to allow them to succeed. It is not our intent to set a dog or a family up for failure.
