Dana's Story
Dana is a spayed female puppy, who is about 5 months old in April 2007. She and her littermate, Cassie, were found on the porch of an apartment, in the rain. Illinois Humane doesn’t know if they were put there or got there on their own and were afraid to come down the slippery outside steps on their own.
Anyway, a kind Illinois Humane volunteer and her daughter rescued them and took them to the veterinary clinic, where the volunteer worked. They got all their shots, deworming and were microchipped, and Illinois Humane wants to find them good homes!
Dana is the bolder of the two, and she has a bit less white on her. They are believed to be Border collie/terrier mixed-breeds who probably will not get any bigger than 40 pounds.
To visit with Dana, please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, Ill., on the first and fourth Sunday of each month or the second and third Sundays at Springfield’s PetsMart on Veterans Parkway. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If that doesn't match your schedule, please call Illinois Humane at (217) 698-3804 to arrange for a visit with Dana. She is waiting to meet you.
ILLINOIS HUMANE . . .
