Daliyah's Story
Meet Daliyah, a brave and beautiful soul who's ready to adventure into her new life with you! At 11 months old (1 month in rescue) she has been through something in her short life that takes her a few days to trust new people. I won her over by letting her come to me be HER idea. Once she trusts, you will have a cling on for life.

At this time because of this, her ideal home will be possibly a retired person or couple. One where the kids are grown or a work at home situation.
Something where her life won’t be drastically changed all the time.
She needs someone with some patience who will just let her be and let things be her idea. Patience that you may not be able to pet and love on your new dog for a few days to a week.

She needs people smart enough to put her outside or in a room when someone new comes over. Or have your guest just ignore and let her come to them. When you stop trying so hard it becomes their idea that people are okay.

That all being said, she is the most loving and loyal girl when given her required “interview period” of up to a few days to a week to earn her trust. You have a friend for life. She loves other dogs and is very playful. She’s a stick with you type of dog and not a wanderer. She would love to have someone to sit on the couch with and relax or follow you around the house.
She is living inside with me, my husband and 13 year old son along with a gamut of dogs. She uses the dog door, is kennel trained and sleeps quietly in one at night. Shes not had any accidents whatsoever here. She was rather skinny when she arrived so would be a good candidate to overeat if you let her. She doesn’t seem to have any food aggression but will finish every kibbel in every bowl once the others are done.

Take her for a ride? Great! In the store? Give it time and leave her in the car. Let’s set this girl up for success. You won’t regret taking a chance on her. She’s worth it!!!!!
