Dale's Story

ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE

The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under a year old). We have criteria for our adoptions of puppies. Puppies are adopted on a foster-to-adopt basis until the puppy is old enough to be neutered/spayed (we prefer them to be no younger than 7 months for females and 9 months for males). Houses with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be protected from the pool with fencing or a cover. Home visits for shots will be required, so puppies are adopted to homes in Maricopa County only. Puppies often have multiple potential adopters, so SPR evaluates what home is best matched with any given puppy and their expected home needs once they have grown.

ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE

The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under a year old). Dale is an approximately 5-month-old Belgian Malinois with a sweet personality, lots of energy, and plenty of love to give.

Dale is loving, outgoing, playful and eager to please. He's a quick learner who wants to make his people happy — especially if treats are involved! This little guy is very food motivated and responds well to guidance and correction when rewarded with something yummy.

When it's playtime, Dale is often the one ready to get things started. He's a play initiator who loves having fun and staying active. When he gets excited to see you, he may jump up, but he's a gentle jumper who is simply looking for some love and attention.

Dale is also curious about water...from a safe distance! He'd like to investigate, but he's not quite convinced he needs to jump in just yet.

One thing Dale has made very clear is that he really loves companionship and doesn't enjoy being left alone. He would thrive with a family who has time to include him in their life and can continue helping him build confidence and independence as he grows.

Like any young Belgian Malinois, Dale will need continued training, structure, exercise and plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you'll get a smart, affectionate pup who is eager to learn and be part of your world.

Dale isn't looking for a life on the sidelines — he's looking for a family to learn with, play with, love, and call his own.

Apply today to meet Dale and discover why everyone who meets her falls in love! https://savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/
