DAKOTA's Story

Dakota was saved from being euthanized at a high kill shelter in Los Angeles, CA due to overcrowding. He is being fostered with us and so deserves a furever home! He is such a sweet boy! He is such an affectionate boy too. He loves being outside running around and exploring the yard. He is great with other dogs but will do best with no cats or small farm animals. Dakota needs a fenced large yard . He is a normal Husky that is active and needs lots of exercise. He loves laying next to his person for love too. He is really a special boy! The Soulful Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

We have been using a website for the past seven years called rescueme.org this has been a successful venue for us although their site is not always operating which we just experienced all of our ads being down for 30 days. Our process is we first speak to the potential adopters then they are asked to fill out an application we strive to match the dog in question to their home. Make sure our dog is dog friendly if they have other pets or cats. We either do a home check or pictures are provided to us of the home the yard and the fencing. We do our best to ensure ourselves and the Pat this is a loving appropriate home for them. We do take the dogs back if they don’t work out in the adopters home.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rescue dogs out of the high kill Los Angeles animal shelters. Provide love and care and find responsible long-term homes for these precious animals.
