Dakota is a 5.5 year old female Great Dane who is a little overweight. She is extremely well behaved and does not need to be crated. She can be shy, especially with new males, but she warms up quickly. She loves to go on long walks and hikes where she can lead. She will pull on a leash if she’s nervous. <br/><br/>She gets along with other dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and squirrels. She prefers dogs that are calm and respect her space. Dakota understands basic commands but believes that they are optional. She is very intelligent and quick to learn. She responds well to a consistent environment with a routine. She can be a bit jumpy with unfamiliar noises but adjusts. <br/><br/>Dakota’s confidence has been building every day in her foster home as does her affection.
