Daisy's Story

Daisy is the quintessential Kelpie/shepherd type—clearly a mix (those feet tell us she won’t be as big as a purebred), but packed with all the classic traits: loyal, curious, incredibly smart, and just a little bull-headed because she’s convinced she’s smarter than you (and honestly… she often is).
Daisy will thrive in a home where she gets plenty of attention, guidance, and engagement. Daisy loves to learn and is highly food-motivated, so she’ll do just about anything for a treat. She already knows sit, and we’re currently working on shake.
We don’t have a fenced yard, but we do have plenty of room to roam—and Daisy isn’t a wanderer. She wants to be wherever her people are. She happily follows the lead of our dogs but does not require another dog to be content. Daisy would be perfectly happy as your one-and-only or part of a pack.
Because she’s had lots of space to explore, we haven’t needed to leash-walk her yet, so her leash skills are still unknown. That said, she’s young, eager to please, and very people-oriented, so we can’t imagine she wouldn’t be thrilled to go on walks—especially if it means spending time with you.
Potty training is a work in progress, but she’s catching on quickly that indoors is not the place to go. She does get a little confused by certain flooring types and seems picky about where she pees (possibly from her prior living situation), but she has not had accidents on our carpet or hardwood floors.
Everyone who meets Daisy instantly falls in love with her. She’s absolutely adorable, and people often comment that it looks like she’s wearing eyeliner thanks to her beautiful markings. Her signature move? Jumping into your lap, giving you a quick kiss, and then rolling onto her back for a belly rub. It’s an irresistible routine—and she knows it.
Daisy is a total sweetheart who’s ready to be someone’s best friend.
If you would like to meet Daisy please visit spotslastsstop.org ad fill out an application.
