DAISY's Story
Your Future Active Best Friend Sweet, Spayed, and Seeking a Coach! Daisy is a healthy, heartworm-negative girl who arrived as a stray on March 27, 2025. She’s been a wonderful shelter resident—but she’s made it clear: kennel life is overrated. Daisy is ready for a real home! With her beautiful cream-colored coat Daisy turns heads. This girl is full of gusto and affection! She loves company, whether it's receiving pets from volunteers or engaging with other dogs in our play yards. She has a high-octane play style and a young dog’s enthusiasm that sometimes spills over into impulsiveness. Daisy is also a joy to work with. She’s very cooperative, allows all handling, and is treat motivated—taking treats gently and eager to learn. She rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, and is always ready to engage with her person. She even recently discovered water—seems like it might be her first time—and while she’s still figuring it out, she’s already showing she might just love it. Like many young dogs, Daisy’s enthusiasm can sometimes spill over into impulsiveness. But underneath that energy is a smart, willing dog who just needs direction. What Daisy Needs to Succeed: Think of Daisy as a brilliant but untutored student. She needs a patient, active owner who understands that her high energy requires more than a quick walk—she needs structure, training games, and consistent routine. If you're looking for a dog to join you on hikes, jogging, or dog-sport training, Daisy is your girl! The Bottom Line: She is an amazing dog with a strong spirit waiting to bond deeply with the person who is ready to guide her with kindness and consistency. ~From her photographers
