Daisy's Story

Daisy is a sweet-dispositioned, eager-to-please, fully-housebroken 9 ½ -month-old lab/retriever mix (+ ?), appx. 65 lbs, surrendered to me for foster care by my college-student neighbor, who could no longer care for her. Her estimated DOB is 10-18-2010. Daisy is now spayed, and all shots are up-to-date. She loves dog parks, and rough-housing with a friend's 2-yr old lab/retriever mix. Yet she respects my geriatric dog's inability to run or romp, and offers him affectionate companionship. Several cats were her companions in her former home. In foster care, she has learned basic manners using only positive training methods. Daisy is not crate trained, but uses a crate as a “den” with the door always open. Raised on a quiet street, Daisy is making progress overcoming anxiety in noisy or busy settings. In her ideal home, there would be no young children, and a friend, dog walker, or doggie day care would accommodate absences longer than 4 hours. Daisy would be an ideal pet for a family with at least one adult who works either at-home or only part-time, with or without older children.

This is a Courtesy listing.
