Daisy's Story
Daisy is a fun-loving brindle puppy who was found abandoned with her litter in Borger, Texas. She is currently fostered in the Amarillo, Texas area. She is approximately six months old, with an estimated birth date of July 25, 2025, and weighs around 40 pounds. She appears to be a large breed mix, possibly Labrador Retriever, Shar Pei, Mastiff, or bully-type mix.

Daisy loves to play, especially with kids and her toys. Her energy level is moderate to low, and she does well with other dogs. Due to her size, a home with older children would be the best fit. She has not been exposed to cats. Daisy is generally quiet and only barks if she gets spooked.

Daisy is still learning how to be a well-mannered house dog. She needs continued work on house training, crate training, and general household manners. She has started leash training and has been in a crate a few times, but she will need a family committed to helping her build good habits. She is not meant to be an outdoor-only dog.

Daisy is available through a foster-to-adopt program. Approved families will foster her while beginning basic training. A generous donor has waived the adoption fee and will provide $250 after the first week and another $250 after the second week to help with training and care costs. A rescue team member will check in weekly during the foster-to-adopt period.

Adoption application (copy and paste into your browser)
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv
