Daisy *Adoption Pending*'s Story
Current Location: Baltimore, MD

Meet Daisy
Age: 5 years | Weight: 36 lbs | Breed: Terrier Mix

Daisy is a 5-year-old terrier mix (though her foster mom thinks she seems more like 2 years old!) who is adjusting to life after raising her puppies and settling into foster care. As she decompresses, she's showing herself to be a dog who enjoys both downtime and activity, and will do best in a home that can provide structure and routine.

She has a moderate energy level with an active side. Daisy enjoys getting out for walks, exploring, and following her nose. She will thrive with regular exercise and mental enrichment but is just as happy to snuggle up next to you.

Daisy is house trained and making good progress with crate training. She is good in the crate when she can see her people, but is initially anxious when first left alone though is able to settle and rest once she adjusts. She's already starting to improve after only a few days in her foster home. She is working on perfecting her leash skills like not pulling, which is being managed with a front clip harness. She is very well behaved in the house and doesn't get into items that she shouldn't.

Daisy's foster mom thinks she has some herding breed in her and for this reason would do best in a home without young or high-energy children. She also does best with dogs closer to her own size. She is doing wonderfully with the 30 lb dog in her foster home. She hasn't tried to play with him yet, but is happy to coexist.

Daisy is looking for a patient home that will give her time to settle in while continuing to provide structure, exercise, and guidance. She is a very sweet girl who can't wait to find her forever family.
