Daisy is an approximately five year old shepherd mix and is currently in foster care in Alpine. Daisy isn't just a good dog, she's the kind of companion who genuinely wants to share life with her person. Whether you're walking around town, working in the garden, running errands, taking a road trip, or simply relaxing at home, Daisy is happiest right by your side.<br/><br/>After two months in foster care, Daisy has proven herself to be an affectionate, curious, and wonderfully adaptable shepherd mix. She's fully house-trained, respectful with other dogs, great with children, loves car rides, enjoys outings to stores, farmers markets, parades, and daycare, and sleeps quietly through the night. She's exceptionally tolerant of grooming, bathing, handling, veterinary care, and even happily accepts the twice-daily eye drops she'll need long-term to manage a chronic eye condition.<br/><br/>Like many smart shepherds, Daisy loves having a job and continues to blossom with structure and positive reinforcement. She's highly trainable and gains confidence every week. While being left alone is still something she's working on, she's made tremendous progress and settles much more easily than when she first arrived.<br/><br/>Daisy's foster says: "Daisy approaches life with curiosity, optimism, and her nose firmly in the lead.
