Daisy's Story
DAISY HAS BEEN ADOPTED> Daisy's owners lost their jobs and had to take ones that require them to travel all the time, so they made the hard decision to turn Daisy over to rescue. Daisy is a cute, cute, cute 5 year old sable and white sheltie. She is housetrained and very sweet. She's about 14 inches tall but is overweight and working on regaining her girlish figure. Daisy is hypothyroid, a condition that is very easily controlled by a pill twice a day (the medicine is VERY inexpensive and is one that Wal Mart carries for $4/month). Lots of shelties have this thyroid condition which causes them to gain weight easily, and makes it difficult to lose. Daisy knows basic commands and must have a fenced yard. Daisy's adoption fee is $250.00 (which covers all vaccinations, dental, full blood panel -- including T4 -- and microchip). If you are interested in Daisy, please fill out the application (located on the "pet list" page) and send it in. We strive to place our shelties in the best possible home for them, which means we reserve the right to turn down any applicant if we feel they are not a good match for the sheltie they want. This is not a shelter -- all rescues are housed in foster homes and the person who runs this rescue works full time, so please be patient. *****January 2009
