Daisy's Story
Meet Daisy — the golden-hearted girl who’s been saving her best years just for you

At around 12 years young, this 50-pound German Shorthaired Pointer has officially entered her “soft blankets, sunny naps, and strolls with my person” era… and she wears it beautifully.

When Daisy first arrived, the love poured in—so many people saw her and thought, “that’s my girl.” And now, after a little time to settle in and shine, she’s finally ready to make one of those wishes come true.

Daisy is the kind of houseguest who turns into the perfect roommate overnight. She’s wonderful in a home, respectful, easygoing, and perfectly content to share her space with feline friends. Her ideal evening? A big, cozy bed piled high with blankets where she can curl up like a cinnamon roll of contentment.

But don’t let the “senior” label fool you—this girl still has a spark in her step. She recently strutted through a nearly 2-mile walk like she had places to be and people to charm. She’s got just the right balance of pep and peace.

Daisy seems to do well with most other dogs, though she prefers a proper introduction—after all, a lady appreciates good manners.

If your home has a soft spot (and an even softer blanket), Daisy is ready to fill it with warmth, loyalty, and that quiet, steady kind of love that only a well-lived heart can give

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
