Meet Daisy

Meet Daisy

Daisy is a gorgeous young shepherd mix at nine months old. We rescued Daisy from a high-kill shelter. We don’t know what trauma Daisy suffered, but it’s apparent that she carries some emotional baggage that we’re working to unwind.

Since coming to us, our trainer and staff have been working with Daisy to build her confidence. She’s a gentle and timid soul. She’s not aggressive, but reticent to engage. Once she lets her guard down, she is an absolute love bug. She’s eager to belong. Per her trainer, Daisy may make a great therapy or helper dog. Because Daisy suffered some past issues, she’s intuitive to others who may be suffering or hurt. She wants to help make them feel better and will turn her full attention to that person in an effort to give them comfort. She gives and loves with her whole heart, but her heart and trust must be earned. Daisy will benefit from some gentle training. She’s learning to walk on a leash and some basic commands, which in turn builds her confidence.

Daisy loves belly rubs, she loves chasing a ball and will give her paw to those she trusts. She loves playing with other dogs and when she does, you can see fully her wonderful personality. Dogs give her confidence and she is often seen playing with Faith, another dog that we rescued with her.

Daisy is terrific young dog. She is going to be a wonderful companion to the person or family willing to go slow with her, gain her trust and help her forget her past. She longs to be a loyal companion. If you’re able to give Daisy a forever home filled with consistency, love and patience, you will be richly rewarded. She is a gem.
