Daisy's Story
Meet Daisy: A Gentle, People-Loving Girl Looking for a Forever Home!

At 5 years old and 60lbs, Daisy is a sweet hound/shepherd mix who came into the shelter as an owner surrender after her family was moving. In the shelter, Daisy was a little timid and nervous, but she quickly showed that she enjoys being around people. She was gentle and dainty with other dogs, tolerant and appropriate in playgroups, but more interested in connecting with people than engaging in rowdy play with the other dogs. She made quick friends by happily taking treats from her volunteer friends.

Since going into foster care in early September, Daisy has been settling into home life and showing her softer side. She is comfortable in her crate and is potty trained, giving her a great foundation for her next chapter. Daisy can be a little shy at first, but she enjoys pets and affection from guests once she feels comfortable. She is also working on her leash manners and building confidence as she gets used to the routines of a home. Her foster parents note that she loves to chill and sunbathe in the yard.

Daisy could be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, people-oriented dog who enjoys affection and a peaceful home environment. She may be happiest as a solo dog where she can have plenty of one-on-one time with her person, though her tolerant nature around other dogs means a respectful canine companion could potentially be considered with the right introduction. A patient adopter who will give Daisy time to settle in and continue building her confidence could be a great match for this sweet girl.

What You Should Know About Daisy:

- sweet 5-year-old, 60lb girl looking for a forever family who will give her time to feel comfortable and loved

- gentle, affectionate, and people-oriented, with a slightly shy side that blossoms with patience and kindness

- might be a wonderful match for someone looking for a mellow companion to share quiet days, affection, and leisurely outings with

To meet Daisy, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!
