Daisy's Story

Meet Daisy — the sweetest senior girl looking for a soft place to land.

Daisy is a 12-year-old Border Collie mix with the gentlest soul and the happiest little personality. She’s calm, loving, and happiest when she’s close to her people. Whether she’s enjoying treats, carrying around a toy, chasing a ball for a few minutes, or curling up for snuggles on the couch, Daisy is simply content being part of the family.

She knows basic commands, listens well, and has wonderful recall — she comes when called, stays close off leash, and doesn’t wander or run off. She’s also good on leash, though she hasn’t been walked regularly, so she’d do best with either a fenced yard or a patient adopter willing to continue building her confidence and leash skills.

Daisy is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and good with kids (though toddlers are still an unknown). She does get a little nervous around large dogs, so calmer canine friends would be ideal for her and of course a meet would be required.

This sweet girl is spayed, in good health, has minimal shedding, and will be up to date on her shots.

Due to her past circumstances, Daisy has become a bit of a couch potato — making her wonderfully low maintenance — but we’d love to see her finally enjoy the simple pleasures of fresh air, sunshine, and outdoor play in a safe, loving home.

Daisy would make the perfect companion for a retired couple, a quieter household, or anyone with a soft spot for senior dogs. She’s spent her life giving love and now deserves a family who will give her the happy, peaceful life she’s always deserved.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold, Daisy is waiting for you.

If you would like to meet Daisy, please email jerseygirlsanimalrescue@gmail.com
