Daisy's Story

PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING.

Daisy is a sweet, playful 2 year old pup with a personality as big as she is. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, and all medical care.

Daisy loves being outside, especially if there’s water involved, and will happily splash in a shallow pool or bask in the sunshine. She’s full of energy and enjoys indestructible tug-style toys and sturdy balls (soft toys don’t stand a chance).

She’s crate trained, fully potty trained, and great about settling into her space on command. She does very well on short leash trips like vet visits or car rides and goes to the groomer regularly as well, but she would benefit from continued practice and confidence building on walks.

Despite her size, Daisy is a total cuddle bug. She loves giving kisses, snuggles, and will try very hard to share your lap or your bed. She can be a bit wary with strangers at first but warms up quickly into a friendly, affectionate companion. This girl is curious, vocal, and full of personality.

Unlike many of our rescues, Daisy has had an amazing family and life up to this point. Her family has kept her on all the appropriate supplements and takes incredible care of her.

HOWEVER, Daisy needs a home with NO other animals. She has always lived with others but has had issues for the last year now with other dogs that are in her space. A trainer has been working with her consistently and has advised that rehoming is the best option for her and everyone involved.

Daisy has NEVER shown aggression towards people, and these incidents have been random, but with her size, it is not safe to have her living with other animals and her current owner has a (very necessary) service dog who was injured in the last altercation.

It’s possible that Daisy could have dog friends since she is muzzle trained, so she could still be allowed to play with other dogs for exercise in a monitored situation, but she can not live with other dogs again. She really does love to play with other dogs in the right situation.

Here’s the application: https://airtable.com/appJNHv8DgBWn7eBi/shrUO1EIkJJahxILJ
