DAISY's Story

Meet Daisy

Daisy is a beautiful 1-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix weighing about 13 pounds, with a soft scruffy golden coat and the most gorgeous warm brown eyes.

Daisy is a very sweet, gentle little girl who has been through a lot of change recently. She was separated from her twin sister and found herself alone in a frightening shelter environment. Not surprisingly, she's a little timid and shy right now—but Daisy is safe with us now, and we're already seeing the lovely dog underneath that uncertainty.

She has such a soft, tender nature. Daisy wants to trust and connect; she just needs a little time to understand that she's safe and that the people around her are going to be kind to her.

At only a year old, she has her whole life ahead of her. We think that with love, security and a little patience, Daisy is going to absolutely blossom. She's the kind of dog whose trust will feel incredibly special because you get to watch her discover that the world can actually be a pretty wonderful place.

And at just 13 pounds, she's a fantastic size—small enough to scoop up and take along with you, but sturdy enough for walks, outings and adventures once her confidence grows.

Daisy doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone to show her what comes next. A soft bed. Good food. Walks. Adventures. A lap to curl up on. And a person she can finally call her own. Daisy is safe now.
