Daisy is a 2-3 year old teeny tiny Chihuahua Mix weighing about 5-6lbs. Here is what Daisy's foster Momma has to say about her:<br/><br/>"Let us introduce you to the little, magical creature that is Daisy the chihuahua. It is hard to capture Daisy's magic in a written description but we'll try - she's the funniest dog you've ever met, think Chris Farley in a mini dog body, a sweetheart like Taylor Swift with paws, and an adventurer a la Amelia Earhart with a tiny bark. Actually, to call it a bark is generous. But she is talkative and very communicative and you will find yourself understanding everything she is saying, even though it is expressed in a series of squeaks and meeps. <br/><br/>Daisy arrived at Brighter Days from Texas very undersocialized and afraid of the world with her litter of puppies. All the puppies went home immediately - of course they did, you can see how cute she is and imagine what adorable babies she made. But poor Daisy was left behind, scared of the world and scared of humans. It has taken a lot of work and socialization to let Daisy come out of her shell and become her true self. But her true self has been more than worth the wait. <br/><br/>Daisy's favorite thing in the world is a walk. On her walks, she loves greeting other dogs, getting treats, seeing the world and exploring. She is particularly fond of large dogs. And it doesn't take long before every large dog she meets understands that they are now at her service and will follow her everywhere to do her bidding. It's her natural boss energy. At the same time, the contrast between seeing a tiny little chihuahua charm a big dog keeps everyone laughing. <br/><br/>Daisy's next favorite thing in the world is a cat. She might want to be a cat. We're not sure. But she spends a lot of time doing elaborate chihuahua dances in front of cats in a futile effort to get them to play with her. Also hilarious to watch. We're not sure if the cats can't understand what she's asking for or if they think chihuahua games are not fun but Daisy is never one to give up trying. <br/><br/>Daisy eats. Sure, you can feed her dog food but she's learned about these things called treats that humans keep in their pockets. She is always trying to summon them. Her tricks for getting treats include looking cute beyond words, doing ridiculously cute things, and sometimes practicing "sit" but only if looking cute has failed to produce a treat. <br/><br/>And let's not forget how Daisy loves a car ride. Daisy may not operate the steering wheel but she loves to see where the car is going and offer her opinions on where it should actually be going instead, which is mainly to another walk. Did we mention she loves a walk?<br/><br/>Daisy needs a special home. She is looking for a forever family that will understand her personality is worth working through some of her other quirks and who will be committed to fully eliminating any of her anxious behaviors. Don't worry -- you don't have to know how to train a magical chihuahua -- we have a class that will help you. She needs someone committed to keeping her safe while she works through the last bits of being anxious and undersocialized. She would love a dog friend. Or a cat friend. Or ideally both.
