Dahlia's Story

True to her name - Dahlia is a beautiful little lady who brightens everyone's day with her happy personality, playful energy, and unwavering affection!

Despite spending more than half her life in the shelter, Dahlia is adjusting beautifully to her new life in her foster home. She is workin on potty training and leash training, but is learning VERY quickly. She sleeps every night in her crate, which she loves. If she hasn't already put herself to bed in her crate, each night she goes in without hesitation, sleeps quietly all through the night (no accidents!), and happily greets you in the morning when its time to go out.

Whether she is being let out in the morning or a new person enters a room, Dahlia greets them with a fully body waggle and as many puppy kisses as you can tolerate. She is living with two senior foster dogs, and adores them. They can take or leave puppy energy, and she is reading their "social cues" very well. She also has two human foster siblings (ages 8 and 6) and the love between them is precious. Dahlia is very comfortable being picked up, snuggled, and handled by both kids. She loves playing chase and toys of all sorta - watching her toss toys in the air and chase them around during her independent play is beyond adorable. Dahlia loves being outside - sniffing around the yard, watching all wildlife intently, investigating bushes and tall grass, and sunning with her foster dog siblings.

---
To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html
