Dahlia AKA Dottie's Story

Dahlia is a 6½-year-old, 58-lb Pointer mix with a gentle soul. She was originally adopted from the SPCA of East Texas in 2019, but through no fault of her own, she was returned to our care when her family moved and couldn’t take her along.

She is housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. She has previously lived with children and other dogs and can do well with them again given proper introductions.

She has truly blossomed. She’s grown more confident and comfortable, showing us just how much love she has to give. After experiencing big changes, she still needs more than just a home—she needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to give her time to decompress.

With the right person, She has the potential to continue blossoming into the loyal, affectionate companion we know she can be. If you’re looking for a dog who just wants to feel secure and loved again, please consider opening your heart to her!

Apply to adopt at: www.spcaeasttx.com.
