Daffodil's Story

Introducing Daffodil!

Sweet as the flower she is named for and just as gentle, this terrier mix is about a year old with an estimated birthdate of 05/13/2025 and she weighs just 50 lbs. From her soft fuzzy coat, to the patch on her eye and the way her ears twitch up when you talk to her, everything about her says take me home and cuddle me.

She apparently had a side gig as a vacuum before coming to us, as she can find crumbs you can't even see. We're convinced if you set her lose on half an acre and hide a treat somewhere in the grass she will not only find it but also the cracker you dropped out of your pocket last week.

She is fully housetrained, knows sit and walks well on leash (although she does love to meander where her nose takes her) and takes treats gently. We think she'd do well in a home with kids and cats. She is lovely with other dogs as well.

If you're looking for a fuzzy, gentle friend who will help keep your floors clean, prewash your dishes, and join you for afternoon naps, head over to our website: www.hsmcohio.org and get started by filling out an adoption application.

**In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough).
