Daffodil's Story
? Meet Daffodil – She Needs a Miracle ?
? Tampa, FL | Text 813-695-5473

Daffodil isn’t just another rescue, she’s family. I bottle-fed her when she was only days old, fighting to survive. She has beaten the odds, survived a blood transfusion, and grown into a strong, loyal, absolutely stunning girl.

She had a home. I thought it was her forever. But a year later, she was returned, physically weakened from a severe UTI and emotionally different. She came back more guarded and unsure, and without the right guidance, those warning signs turned into resource guarding and selective trust.

But please don’t mistake her behavior for aggression. Daffodil is not a bad dog, she is a misunderstood one. She has since worked with a professional behaviorist and completed training, proving what we always knew: with structure, patience, and consistency, she thrives.

? About Daffodil:
• 2 years old, 80+ lbs
• Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative
• Missing one eye (born that way)
• In the beginning stages of kidney failure and takes daily medication with prescription food
• Potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained
• Loyal, affectionate, and incredibly smart

? What She Needs:
• Pet free, child free home (teens possible if experienced with dogs)
• Confident, structured adult (or couple) with large breed experience
• Daily exercise, enrichment, and boundaries
• Someone who understands she is not difficult, she just needs patience, leadership, and consistency

She does well in group play but can sometimes get rowdy, and she can be temperamental around food time. She just needs someone who sees her for who she really is, an extraordinary soul who has already overcome so much.

Even if you cannot adopt, fostering would give Daffodil the break she deserves and the comfort of a real home. Please consider opening your heart to her.

? Text 813-695-5473 if you can foster or adopt.
She has been waiting long enough.
