DOG (dee-oh-gee) is a handsome 10-year-old gentleman looking for a great home. If you're looking for a dog that has character, he's your man. DOG is a laid back guy who likes to veg out on a dog bed or in your lap. If he needs something he tries to tell you what he needs in his own language. You'll get a few "arf-arfs" until you find what he's looking for which usually happens close to meal time.<br/><br/>DOG fits right in with big and small dogs. He is a cuddle magnet. The other dogs love to snuggle him in a dog bed. The pictures shown were taken from the same angle, 5 minutes apart. Apparently, the dogs have a rotation schedule on who gets to lay next to DOG. <br/><br/>DOG has a sad backstory. His owner was hospitalized which required DOG to spend sometime at the local shelter until his owner was released from the hospital. After the owner was released, they lived in a hotel for awhile. One day the owner checked out and DOG was found wandering the parking lot, still dragging his leash. DOG's former owner never came back for him but DOG doesn't let it keep him down. He has a heart of gold that still trusts and loves humans. It is felt throughout the house among the 2 legged and 4 legged animals in the house.<br/><br/>DOG does have an enlarged heart that was found after a heart murmur was detected. DOG doesn't show any signs of trouble from the condition but he will need to take daily medication to slow down any progression.
