CYRUS's Story
Meet Cyrus (A565268), a handsome, smiley faced sweetheart who is ready to be someone’s Valentine. Cyrus came to us after his owner could no longer care for him, and through no fault of his own, he found himself without a home. Now he is hoping the next chapter of his love story is right around the corner. According to his previous owner, Cyrus is good with children, though he can get excited and may try to jump up to deliver enthusiastic kisses. He enjoys playing outside and would love a family who will take him along for strolls, backyard time, and fresh air adventures. If you are looking for a walking buddy with a big grin, Cyrus is your guy. Cyrus is crate trained, and that crate is important. If left out while home alone, he may entertain himself by chewing on slippers or other household items. With structure and consistency, he settles in well and understands expectations. He already knows sit and lay down, enjoys treats, and is eager to please. He has been tested with a female dog here and did well. While he does not seem overly interested in rough play with other dogs and prefers to hang out in his own space, he could do fine with or without a canine companion in his future home. Cyrus is ready to trade shelter life for couch time, walks, and a family to call his own. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate Valentine with a bright smile and a lot of love to give, come meet Cyrus. Cyrus is guesstimated to be 3 years old and weighs 64 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Cyrus? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D48. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID
