Right now, he’s in a foster home where he’s doing wonderfully, but he’s still taking things at his own pace—and that’s exactly what he needs.<br/><br/>Cyrus is looking for a calm, patient, adult-only home with another confident dog to help guide him and a securely fenced yard or a committed leash routine for outdoor time. He’s fearful of being approached too quickly, so his future family will need to let him come to them on his own terms and celebrate the small wins along the way.<br/><br/>Like any young dog, Cyrus will need continued help with the basics—potty training, leash skills, and household manners—but his biggest need is confidence building and trust. While he may never be a carefree, “go anywhere” kind of dog, Cyrus has so much love to give. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us.<br/><br/>Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
