Cypress's Story
Cypress spent his time in the shelter with a broken leg that nobody reported, nobody treated, and nobody mentioned when we came to rescue him. He just waited. When we found out, we chose surgery, spent $3,000, and got him through physical therapy one session at a time.

He still holds that leg up sometimes. The vets say it will keep improving. What we know is that it never touched his spirit. He is lively and sweet and puts himself to bed at night like a dog who has decided life is good regardless of what it has handed him. He is 11 months old, 30lbs, crate trained and so easy to love it almost hurts.

He waited in that shelter without complaint. He deserves to stop waiting
