The foster parents have written the bios you will read with what they know about the dog. Please read the bios carefully and ensure they are a fit for your household. Thank you.
------------------------------------------------------
Fostered in Chatham

Curly is a tiny 5 year old, 7-pound female Chihuahua who is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. Once she feels comfortable and knows she is safe, we think she would happily trade her crate for a cozy spot cuddled up with her people.

Curly is naturally shy and it could take a few weeks or more for her to settle in and learn to trust you. She is quite the little observer and will follow you around, quietly watching and figuring out what you're all about. She has a pretty good idea of all the tricks people use to catch her, so trust needs to happen on Curly's terms and at Curly's pace.

Food and treats are definitely the way to this little girl's heart! She takes treats very gently and loves being rewarded. Once she trusts you, you will see more and more of her sweet personality come out.

Curly gets along very well with her foster sister and has gained confidence from having another dog around. We think a friendly, small canine companion could be wonderful for her, although she certainly wouldn't mind being the only little dog in the home and getting all the attention herself!

She is house trained but will use a pee pad if needed. Curly isn't a big barker, but she will let you know when someone is at the door. When left alone, she may squeak and give a few little woofs, but nothing excessive.

Because Curly is timid, she would do best in a quiet, calm home with a securely fenced yard. A home where someone is around much of the day would be ideal. If you're retired or work from home, Curly could make a wonderful little companion who will happily follow you around and keep you company.

Curly doesn't need a family who expects her to be confident from day one. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her blossom at her own pace. And when she does? You'll have earned the love of one very special little Chihuahua.

To apply to adopt this dog go to: http://forms.gle/Ev16pQeQ2zAZWLig6

Rat Terrier Rescue Canada Adoption Fees
Puppies under 1 year - $775
Young adult 1 year - 5 years $650
Adults 6 years - 9 years $575
Seniors 10+ $325

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.

The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion.
