Curly is a 2-year-old, 15-pound little guy who is having a hard time showing his true personality in the shelter environment.<br/><br/>When a board member from Jefferson SPCA recently visited Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services, staff noted they were still unsure of Curly’s disposition. But once she took him out of his kennel and into a quiet yard, it was a completely different story.<br/><br/>Away from the noise, Curly is gentle, affectionate, and eager to connect. He enjoys being close to his person, will happily follow you around, and settles in once he feels safe. The shelter is simply overwhelming for him, and he doesn’t show well in his kennel.<br/><br/>Curly is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He just needs someone willing to look past the stress of the shelter and give him the chance he deserves.<br/><br/>Come meet Curly at JPAWS and take him for a walk.
