Cupid's Story

Cupid is a 7-year-old neutered Pit Bull who has quite literally been through the fire and come out the other side still loving his people.

Cupid survived a fire and has recovered well, although he was left with some permanent smoke damage. When he gets overly excited, he may cough. He has been through antibiotics and breathing treatments and has been evaluated by his veterinarian. His cough is believed to be a lasting effect of the smoke exposure rather than an active illness.

And Cupid definitely still has plenty to get excited about. ❤️

This guy LOVES kids and is happiest being part of the family. He is medium energy, potty trained and crate trained, although if something exciting is happening, Cupid has been known to decide that crate rules are merely suggestions. 😂 Thankfully, he is not destructive and currently does well being left loose in the home.

Cupid is good with cats. He can be selective about other dogs, so we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in his new home. He walks using an Easy Walk-style harness and is vaccinated.

Cupid is looking for a family who can give a very deserving older guy the stability, love and home of his own that he deserves.

Cupid is NOT currently in the care of Idaho Animal Rescue Network. This is a courtesy placement, but IARN will be accepting and screening adoption applications on his behalf.

We are familiar with Cupid’s current family and know that he comes from a wonderful, loving home. Sometimes circumstances change and good families find themselves having to make incredibly difficult decisions for animals they love. Cupid has been well loved and cared for, and his family wants nothing more than to find the right next home for him. ❤️

Idaho Animal Rescue Network's Adoption Policy
Upon completing an application for adoption, potential adopters are contacted via email or phone to discuss the needs (present and future) of the animal they hope to adopt. Approved adopters are then invited to meet with the animal one-on-one to get a better idea of their personality. In some instances, we offer them a couple of meet and greets. Because some of our animals come from abuse/neglect situations, we do not ever rush adoptions and appreciate the adopters who understand this process. A home visit is required and if renting, a potential adopter must provide landlord information so approval can be verified by our staff. * We do NOT adhere to a first-come adoption basis. We seek the best fit for the animals in our care.
