Cupid's Story
Meet Cupid, a super cute 6 month old female husky mix puppy, currently weighing about 40 lbs! We are unsure of breed mix, but isn't she 100% adorable?! We expect her to grow to a medium/large sized dog.

Cupid and her 8 siblings (the Reindeer litter) were sadly dumped at one of our rescue partners in TN when they were about 3 weeks old, without their mom. The man who dumped them stated that it was an oops litter and that he did not want to deal with them.

Although she had a rough start, you would never know it! Cupid is a sweet, snuggly girl who loves people and being the center of attention! She is very smart and trainable and SUPER food motivated! Cupid is currently being fostered in New England.

Cupid is generally good with other dogs, although she can be a bit of an attention hog and she does have some resource guarding tendencies. This is easily managed by feeding her separately from other animals and only giving high value treats while crated or in separate rooms (we recommend this with ALL dogs even if they are not known to resource guard).

From Cupid's foster:

"Cupid is a very sweet, big cuddly teddy bear! She likes to relax after playing with other dogs. She's curious and playful but hasn't been destructive in the house and has been great with sticking with her toys! She likes to be outside being a typical curious puppy. She can play with any size dog or children. She loves the water. She's definitely very trainable!. She knows the words, ‘come', ‘outside', sit', ‘wait', ‘treats', ‘eat', ‘yucky', ‘no',...so far "

She is medically up to date (awaiting spay appointment now that she is old enough), crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet Cupid today and give this sweetie the happy ending she deserves!

Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
