He was surrendered to us after being hit by a car shattered his femur. He was not medically cleared for adoption for several months due to all of his surgeries, his leg was initially repaired but Cupid chose not to use the leg again and we made the decision to amputate. He's been thriving without his leg ever since!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Cupid would do best in a home with another well established dog or he could absolutely live happily as the only dog because he bonds so closely to his people. Due to being attacked a few times in a previous home by another male dog, he tends to prefer females, although he gets along just fine with the other neutral male dog in his current foster home. He gets along great with dogs that match his energy!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>He has previously exhibited some resource guarding in his last home, but does just fine being fed in his kennel and his current foster mom hasn't had any problems. He's good with sharing his toys with other dogs and loves a good stuffy shred!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>He loves kids, he has three human foster siblings ages 4, 5, and 8, and they are his favorite tiny humans in the world! He's spent time with kids of all ages and he adores them all!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Cupid is a higher energy guy, he was on crate rest for a long time after his surgeries so he's still working on his manners and learning how to respectfully walk on a leash, but he responds well to positive reinforcement as he's highly food motivated and so eager to learn! Cupid has been working on basic training and he's learning so quickly! He's fully kennel trained and house trained and does just fine being left alone for several hours if needed. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Cupid also does fine with cats, but he does chase if they run from him. He's living in a home with two cats that make sure to put him in his place and he's been learning how to exist peacefully with them. We haven't had any problems!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Cupid is the sweetest, snuggliest boy that just wants nothing more than to be loved by his people and to spread love and smiles everywhere he goes! <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Cupid is fully vetted and up to date on prevention, he's available for adoption through Speak for the unspoken!<br/><br/>***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES.
