I had a family, a dog friend, a big yard, and people who said all the best things about me. They told everyone how great I was with kids, how friendly I was with strangers, how easy I was with other dogs. I tried so hard to be everything they said I was.<br/><br/>And I was.<br/>I still am.<br/><br/>But sometimes... you can do everything right and still be unwanted.<br/><br/>Today I found myself back at the rescue because "dogs are too much work with a 6weekold baby." From forever to disposable in the blink of an eye. I didn't break anything. I didn't bite anyone. I didn't stop loving them. Life just changed, and I was the piece they decided didn't fit anymore.<br/><br/>It hurts - I won't pretend it doesn't - but I'm not going to hold it against other kids or families. I still wag when I see little ones. I still believe people are good. I still hope there's someone out there who understands that dogs don't stop loving when life gets busy... and who won't stop loving me either.<br/><br/>I'm a wonderful boy: gentle, social, friendly, and eager to make you proud. I love other dogs, I adore people, and I'm happiest when I'm part of a family. I just need one who means it when they say "forever."<br/><br/>If you're looking for a loyal companion who will stand by you through every chapter - the easy ones and the messy ones - I'm right here, waiting.
