Crockett's Story
There’s something thoughtful about Crockett. While other dogs rush headfirst into every moment, Crockett tends to pause first — taking in the world with those watchful Husky eyes before deciding exactly how he wants to join in. But the second another dog invites him to play, his whole personality changes. Suddenly he’s bounding across the yard, wrestling, chasing, and grinning like life could not possibly get better than this exact moment.

Crockett grew up alongside his mom and sister as a street pup, and that experience left him with a deep appreciation for canine companionship and outdoor adventure. As a husky/shepherd for adoption, he still carries that love of exploring the world through every sniff, stroll, and backyard patrol. A secure fenced yard where he can roam safely, stretch his legs, and enjoy the outdoors would make him incredibly happy. Despite his adventurous side, he’s surprisingly calm inside the house — the kind of dog who settles in nearby and quietly watches the household rhythm unfold.

You’ll especially love how gentle he can be. He’s done beautifully with kids, coexisted peacefully with cats, and is learning home routines quickly, including crate training. Another friendly dog in the home would likely help him feel even more confident and connected.
