Crissy's Story
Crissy - Lab/Hound/Heeler Mix - Female - 10 Yrs - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Crissy: This sweet and friendly Labrador, Hound and probably Heeler Mix came to us with her siblings Allwood and Beemer after their caretakers could no longer care for them. You see, these guys were seen on video being abandoned as pups - the individual even tried to run them over with their car afterwards - and a family stepped up for them and took exceptionally great care of them. Fast forward a few years and the caretakers are getting older and health issues are becoming more difficult for the family that had already done so much for them, these guys are becoming too much for the family to handle.

Crissy is now in our care looking for new home: Crissy is a little shy when she first meets new people but that doesn't last more than a few minutes once she figures out that most people want to give her pets, attention and treats. She likes treats and will gladly take brothers treats when he's too shy to eat them. Crissy is house trained, not a fan of the crate, and walks well on leash. She is pretty quiet, will announce when the doorbell rings and likes her walks, and is content with short walks. She rides well in the car as well. Crissy gets nervous in a crate when left alone - she is best when she can follow her person around the house during the day, and we have learned she does well uncrated when alone.

She is looking for a moderately active home with another dog in the home, and preferably someone who is home a lot, as she is not a fan of being home alone.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
