Crickett's Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Crickett is a tender hearted boy who is dreaming of a home where he can be a cherished family member. He will thrive with a home that is calm, quiet and has a predictable routine. Crickett might take a short time to bond with his people but once he knows that he is safe and loved he will be yours forever. Crickett will be happiest in a home where his people enjoy going for walks. After his walks he loves relaxing on the couch right beside his person or on a pile of warm, cozy blankets.

Crickett's dream home would be where his people are retired and aren't gone for long periods of time. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion. He is respectful towards the cat in his foster home and would be fine in a home with cats. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children we are asking for a home without children under 12 years of age.

Crickett recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also received a dental with extractions of his remaining teeth. Crickett will benefit from a soft food diet long term. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Crickett is 10 years old and weighs 7 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479

Save-A-Mutt's Adoption Policy
Save-A-Mutt is a Foster Based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes, there is no facility to visit. All adopters are required to fill out an application. As we review the application, we may have questions - and prefer email to ask/answer them. So please check your email regularly. We may remove adoptable animals off of Petfinder while we work on applications - but will contact you to let you know. We like to have one good app per pet as not to disappoint people. It can take a couple days to finish an application, depending on your references, etc. Please let your references know that will be sending emails - they sometime go to junk mail. We enjoy open communication, but we are a volunteer organization, so please be patient. Once we receive all the information we need, we will schedule a phone interview, home check, etc. Thank you and we will be in touch! Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make acceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
