Cricket in MO's Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Cricket, and I was born 12/21/2011 so I just turned 14 years old! I weigh 18 pounds. I am looking for a new home because my owner was not able to keep me. I am a brindle and white Boston Terrier/Rat Terrier mix, and I am the best of both breeds! I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.

Don't let my age fool you .... I have lots of energy, love long walks and backyard adventures. When I am in the house, I follow my people around, who I love, but I am a little lazy and sleep alot! I also love to eat, and will eat anything you give me.

I listen well, and know several commands - sit, stay, go to bed, come (inside and outside), outside, no, and stop. I do all the commands quickly because I love to please! Evidence of this is my long tail that is a "C" curled over my back, which never stops wagging!

When I was young, I was attacked by a large dog and lost my right eye. As a result, I am afraid of new dogs and would probably do best in a home as an only dog. If a dog is introduced slowly, I make a new friend. I appreciate it when people are cautious about me meeting new dogs.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Yes - I dance at the door when I need to go out
Leash-trained? Missing my right eye
Adoption Fee? $ 150

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
