Cricket's Story

Cricket and her mom Ladybug (also adoptable!) were dumped in the street in the middle of the night and discovered by one of our team members, who quickly scooped them up. They both likely suffered abuse and neglect in their previous home, but are starting to realize it's only the good life ahead!

Cricket is 11 months old and 6 pounds of 100% love. While she is still extremely timid and a little skittish, she can be silly and loves to play with doggie friends both big and small. When she wants to play, she is a jumping bean of energy! Once she feels safe with you, she will seek out attention and cuddles, especially if she has a doggie friend to show her that the only hands that will pet her from now on are gentle, kind ones.

Cricket's ideal home is with someone(s) who works from home and understands that it could take months to bond and build trust and confidence. Her ideal person is also patient and can take her out often to reinforce potty training. (She successfully use potty pads in the house.) Please note that children under 12 will be too much stress for her. She will thrive in a calm, quiet and patient.

Cricket is crate trained (it's her safe place!) and leash trained, and she has been spayed and vaccinated. All she needs now is a forever family who will give her all the love she deserves and help her forget her traumatic past! Could it be you? <3

**Available for adoption in the Austin, Texas, area only. Can be adopted with her mom Ladybug, or separately.**
