Cricket's Story
Meet Cricket

At 10 years old, Cricket never imagined she'd be starting over.

Just a few months ago, she had a family, a home, and a life she knew. Then she lost her mom. Now, her dad is in hospice care and can no longer look after her. With no family left to care for her, Cricket had to say goodbye to the only home she's ever known.

It's a lot of change for any dog, but especially for a senior who thought she had already found her forever.

And yet, Cricket continues to greet the world with kindness, gentle eyes, and her adorable signature tippy taps.

She may technically be a senior, but don't tell her that. Cricket still has plenty of pep in her step, plenty of love in her heart, and she's ready to shower her future family with affection. She's done well with other dogs and cats, and all she's really asking for is a soft bed, a warm home, and someone to do her happy dance for every day.

Cricket is also dealing with some urinary issues that we're currently working with our veterinarian to address. And honestly? Sure, she may have urinary incontinence, but won't most of us be dealing with something similar at some point in our lives? Let's not hold it against her.

What matters is that Cricket is still the same sweet, loving girl she's always been.

Now she just needs someone willing to give her the retirement she deserves.

Adopt Cricket and give her a second chance at forever.

Foster Cricket and help her decompress while we continue her medical care.

Donate to help cover her veterinary expenses and treatment.

Cricket has lost so much, but she still has so much love left to give. Let's show her that this chapter of her story can be the best one yet. I think this version strikes a nice balance between emotional, hopeful, and just a little bit playful without minimizing what she's been through.
