Crayola's Story

(The fine print): If after reading Crayola's adoption listing in full, you’d like to make this wonderful pup a part of your family, please visit www.sanctuaryrescue.com and fill out an adoption questionnaire under the “forms” tab. Unfortunately, we don't receive any inquiries sent through the Petfinder system, so the only way to be considered for adoption is to fill out the adoption questionnaire on our website. If a dog’s listing is still up on Petfinder, then we’re still accepting adoption questionnaires/applications for them. Once a dog has been adopted, we will immediately remove their adoption listing. This striking 2-year-old Aussie mix weighs in at a perfect 26 pounds and brings a beautiful blend of playful energy and affectionate charm.

Crayola is deaf, but you’d hardly know it—he’s incredibly well adapted, tuned in to his surroundings, and eager to connect. He learns quickly through visual cues and thrives on engagement, making him a wonderful partner for someone excited to build a strong, communicative bond.

He’s both crate-trained and potty-trained, and he fits in nicely with a variety of companions. He gets along well with the cat in his foster home, plays beautifully with other dogs, and especially enjoys romping with the resident puppy.

This smart, athletic boy lives for playtime—tennis balls and Frisbees are his absolute favorites, and he’ll happily show off his impressive mid-air catches. He’s currently working on his retrieve skills and would be an excellent candidate for agility or other enrichment activities that keep his mind and body active.

Crayola settles in nicely at home and loves nothing more than being close to his people. As his foster mom shares, “He is a fun little guy who loves balls and Frisbee. He has a lot of the herding breed personality and energy, but settles down inside and is very affectionate.”

Crayola is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a little extra sparkle to a lucky home.

Crayola's adoption fee is $350, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, neuter, and microchip.
