Cozy Bear's Story

Meet Cozy Bear — a sweet, smart 6-to-7-month-old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix who is looking for his forever home through no fault of his own. His owner is being forced to relocate to an apartment at the end of May and heartbreakingly cannot take him along.

Cozy Bear already has the basics down: he knows sit, shake, and how to walk on a leash like a champ. He's both potty trained and crate trained — he'll actually whine and come get you when he needs to go out. No midnight surprises here.

He is gentle and social — he loves kids, cats, and other dogs. He's a true companion who wants to be part of the action. He does best in a quieter environment, as he's still a little nervous around heavy traffic and kids on bikes, but with patience and consistency he will grow in confidence. He is also blind in one eye, which hasn't slowed him down one bit.

Cozy Bear has a lot of energy and loves to run and play ball — he'd thrive with a yard or regular outdoor time. In return, you get an affectionate, already-trained pup who just needs a safe place to land.
