Cowgirl's Story
*Cowgirl's adoption fee is sponsored by a community angel!*
Cowgirl is a quiet, sensitive soul who came to us from a large hoarding case in north Mississippi and is now learning what it means to feel safe. She finds comfort in simply being near her people—when someone is in the room, she settles easily and relaxes close by, content just to share the space. Cowgirl does best with companionship and would thrive in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches, as she takes reassurance from human presence (even mealtimes are better with company). She walks fairly well on leash, enjoys enrichment, and is curious about toys, even if they’re not her main focus.

Cowgirl will need a patient, understanding home that can provide structure, management around food and toys with other dogs, and help her continue building confidence. Her quiet loyalty and desire to be near her person make her a wonderful match for someone who values a steady, low-key companion. With the right environment and expectations, Cowgirl has the potential to blossom into a devoted and rewarding family member.
If you have another canine companion please bring them to the shelter to meet Cowgirl! Coming from a home with so many dogs, she can get overwhelmed, but enjoys the company of another mellow pup.
