Cowboy ADOPTED PA's Story

Cowboy was adopted October 2025. His new home is in Pennsylvania.

Cowboy is a male tricolor long hair Dachshund or dachshund mix. Cowboy is 2 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. Cowboy is neutered, vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Cowboy is ready for adoption.

Cowboy was owner surrendered because he didn't seem comfortable in a home with very small children. He is a friendly pup. Cowboy likes to play with a person, other dogs or by himself. He knows his name and comes when called. Cowboy likes to play outside but will dig if not supervised...darn dachshund! Take new things gently with Cowboy because some things weird him out. We can share what we have learned with potential adopters. Cowboy is a handsome boy with beautiful markings. He is kennel and potty trained, and learns his routine quickly. We think Cowboy would be fine as an only dog, with one person, or with multiple people and dogs, but only children 10 and older.

Adoption fee is $350.
