Cowboy's Story

Meet Cowboy!

If you're looking for an easy dog, Cowboy might just be your perfect match.

Cowboy is a 7-year-old, 23-pound Chihuahua, Beagle, Pug mix from New York City who asks for very little, just a cozy spot to nap and someone to love.

Since arriving in foster care, Cowboy has settled in quickly. He's the kind of dog who makes himself at home without making a fuss. Whether you're working from home, watching TV, or making dinner, he'll happily keep you company before curling up nearby for one of his many naps.

Cowboy is fully house-trained, walks well on leash, sleeps soundly in his crate at night, and is comfortable relaxing on his own during the day. He's also a smart little guy who already knows “sit” and enjoys learning for a tasty reward.

While some dogs need constant entertainment, Cowboy's favorite thing is simply being with his people. He's not interested in endless games of fetch or squeaky toys, he'd much rather spend the afternoon lounging beside you, joining you on a neighborhood walk, or tagging along on a weekend outing.

Cowboy would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a low- to medium-energy dog. He'd be equally happy as the only dog soaking up all the attention or sharing his home with another friendly pup. He's also gentle enough to do well with respectful children.

There are dogs that keep you busy, and then there are dogs that simply make your life better. Cowboy is the latter.

He's sweet without being demanding, affectionate without being clingy, and the kind of dog who reminds you that the best days are often the quiet ones.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will be happy just to be by your side, Cowboy is waiting to meet you.

Cowboy is vaccinated for rabies, dhpp, bordatella. Heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered.

Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails! Visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application.
