Cowboy's Story

This extremely shy boy is Cowboy. He was rescued from the middle of the street near some industrial buildings close to downtown. When his rescuer found him she could see that he was very thin. In fact he was so malnourished that he could hardly stand. She scooped him up and brought him to the shelter to get some help. He was never claimed by his owners and the shelter went to work getting him ready for adoption and his new life! Cowboy has all of his vaccinations, he has a microchip, and he has been neutered. Unfortunately Cowboy is heartworm positive. But no worries! His treatment has already been scheduled. We don't know what Cowboy has been through, but we know it will take someone patient and kind to help him. He is terrified of loud noises. Even a door that is slammed can alarm him. We also know that he does not care for cats! So no cats in the home with him. We are on the lookout for a special adopter who has the time to work with him and teach him that this world can be a nice place and that most people are good and kind.
