**Please note these dogs are not with us but we are posting to help their owner find them loving forever homes as their owner has a terminal cancer diagnosis and needs a safe place for her beloved dogs. **

Here's what their owner has to say about them:

"Daisy was adopted from Blue Water humane society in 2018, so I am unsure of her actual age. Maybe around 7 or 8. Not elder, still has lots of energy! She is an Australian shepherd and is deaf. She is pad trained but does have accidents on rugs/carpet because of it.

She is calm, love pets, absolutely hates being groomed. She is reactive to lights and does bark. Good with kids, chases the cats so I have to keep them separated by a gate. She will steal your food if you aren't careful and her weight shows it, she could lose a few pounds.

She absolutely needs an iron-clad fence as she will run away and not look back. At least three times she's made herself right at home with neighbors or people a few blocks down where she just stops running and decides she can live there. It's been a while since she was able to get out though, since we've learned her tricks.

Birdie is an Australian shepherd and blue heeler mix, mostly heeler. We got her as a puppy in 2018. She is very high energy, very smart, and could probably fit right in on a farm or working.

She knows how to get Daisy when called since she is deaf and can't hear. I am unsure of her weight but she's average sized for a heeler. She has a very high prey drive so no cats.

She is good with kids but because she tends to get very excited she may knock little ones over. She is also protective of the yard but not of people coming in the front door, so I would caution anyone to not put their hand through a gate or try to pet her over it as she's tried to bite before. But that was a neighbor kid who I had to speak to about provoking her through the fence.

They don't have to go together but they have been together since Birdie was a puppy, so I am unsure if she would be depressed. She does cry when Daisy escapes, though luckily she hasn't in a while now!

Thank you."

If you are interested in learning more about the dogs please reach out to their owner Amy via email asap: minx77x@gmail.com
