When she first arrived, she was absolutely terrified of people—and especially of being touched. She had spent her life learning that humans were something to fear.But slowly, patiently, and with lots of love, Couri is discovering that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She is beginning to blossom into the curious, sweet little pup she was always meant to be. And one of our favorite milestones? Couri now seeks out her foster mom for belly rubs and kisses! Couri still needs a patient, understanding home that will let her set the pace. We know you’ll want to scoop her up, smother her with kisses, and show her all the love she missed—but for Couri, trust takes time. Her forever family will need to understand that every little step forward is a victory.She absolutely adores her foster siblings and finds comfort and confidence around other dogs.
