Courage's Story
Courage has come a long way since his discovery. He was discovered in Flint as a severely malnourished stray. He was only 26 lbs when he was found. But he was so loving and willing to trust while healing, he stole hearts. He's now a healthy 43 pounds and excited for life adventures!

He's been healing in foster care with other dogs and cats and does quite well having four-legged companions. While everything has come along amazing, his one eye did suffer a little from the lack of nourishment and is just a bit different than the other.

Courage is a very laid-back companion. He does not attempt to get on furniture; he respects personal boundaries and doesn't need constant attention. He loves to go for walks and does not strain on the leash. Courage loves camping and beach visits.

He is so incredibly sweet and loves to be petted, but is happier not cuddling, which is why we only recommend placing him with older children only who can understand he's just not a cuddler.

Do you want a camping buddy who won't try to tip you over in your chair? Arrange and meet and greet with Courage! He would love a chance to showcase how far he has come.
